All senior students attended the Clued up kids day this week. What a wonderful way to learn about water, fire, road, dog, first aid and earthquake safety through hands on activities and FUN!!! Check us out on Kids corner...

Matua Doc, Whaea Iriaka and Matua Shep taught us! We did a whakatau at the start and after that we had some kai - milo and biscuits. Iriaka taught us about Te Taero a Kereopa and gave us a gift! A waiata she wrote for Room 10 and Stoke School!!! We then went to the cafe where we had moctails and five different types of kai! After NMIT we went to Te Taero a Kereopa. We saw two seals, explores the boulders (we found crabs and jiggly things!) and had a great time! By Tayla and Maia Today we had More FM visit us in Room 10 and ask us questions. The questions were: what is a local body election? How do traffic lights change colour? What would you do if you had $10,000? Listen to us at 2:40pm next week on 92.8FM Today Aidan choose to spend $200 earned class money on being a teacher for 30 minutes! He brought in balloons and some wee creatures to hand out. Mr Davies then took the class for a game lead by Jarius. We are LOVING our maths in Room 10 this week! We are building our own zoos using these strategies: - compensation - doubling and halving - multiplication - calculating area - reversibility |
